On Sunday, June 29 at 11:45 AM on LA7, <strong>\"SIGNORI SI PARTE – Historic Trains Across Italy\"</strong> premieres: a brand-new show produced by the Rome-based company DirAmare in collaboration with Fondazione FS Italiane, part of the Italian State Railways Group. For six consecutive Sundays, viewers will be taken along unique routes aboard vintage trains that have shaped the history of our country. Endorsed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the project combines the storytelling power of television with the timeless charm of Fondazione FS Italiane’s historic trains. Hosting the journey is journalist <strong>Stefania Capobianco</strong>, with special guest <strong>Luigi Cantamessa</strong>, General Director of Fondazione FS Italiane and CEO of FS Treni Turistici Italiani. Together, they guide us through a narrative that blends landscapes, history, culture, and local identity, set to the poignant notes of <em>“La Lontananza”</em> by Domenico Modugno, co-written with Enrica Bonaccorti. The first episode takes us to <strong>Campania</strong>, a region celebrated for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. The journey starts in <strong>Naples</strong>, with its stunning views of the Gulf, then continues aboard a historic train departing from the central station toward <strong>Pietrarsa</strong>, home of the National Railway Museum. This symbolic site stands on the very first Italian railway line, inaugurated in 1839: the <strong>Naples–Portici</strong> route. The adventure continues through the heart of the region, from the elegant handcrafted ceramics of <strong>Capodimonte</strong>, to the majestic <strong>Doric temples of Paestum</strong>, ancient witnesses of Magna Graecia, set in one of Italy’s most important archaeological sites. The journey ends at the breathtaking <strong>Pertosa-Auletta Caves</strong>, a geological wonder that can even be explored by boat, nestled in the heart of the <strong>Vallo di Diano</strong>. As for the culinary highlights, the stop in <strong>Paestum</strong> offers a chance to savor the authentic local flavors, starting with the renowned <strong>white artichoke of the Tanagro Valley</strong>, a true emblem of the region’s rural tradition and agricultural excellence. The journey is further enriched by voices, stories, and insights—including a special appearance by <strong>ANCEFERR</strong>, a project partner and a leading authority in the railway industry.
